MARVEL ZOMBIES - POP Marvel N° 1667 - Zombie Thanos

This Funko POP! Marvel figure No. 1667 depicts Zombie Thanos, the undead version of the famous Titan from the Marvel Zombies animated universe. Reimagined in the distinctive POP! style, Thanos retains his imposing armour and Infinity Gauntlet whilst sporting a decayed appearance directly inspired by the Marvel Animation series.

The figure stands approximately 13.5 cm tall and is distinguished by its zombified face in shades of grey and blue, its yellow eyes, its exposed teeth and the red marks running across its skin. Thanos wears dark armour accented with gold detailing and raises his arm, which is clad in the Infinity Gauntlet, whose various Stones are depicted in their characteristic colours.

Made from vinyl/PVC, this POP! figure is mounted on the bobblehead system traditionally used by Funko for its Marvel figures. It comes in a standard window box, allowing it to be displayed whilst still in its packaging.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Marvel Zombies is a Marvel animated series that transports several heroes and villains from the Marvel Cinematic Universe into a reality ravaged by a zombie outbreak. The series expands on the post-apocalyptic world introduced in the zombie episode of *What If…?*, whilst telling its own story rather than serving as a direct continuation of that episode’s cliffhanger.

In this universe, a large number of the Avengers and other super-powered individuals are infected and become particularly dangerous undead. A group of survivors then attempts to navigate this devastated world and find a way to put an end to the outbreak.

Thanos is originally one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. Obsessed with the Infinity Stones, he seeks to gather all six gems in order to harness their power through the Infinity Gauntlet.

In *Marvel Zombies*, the Titan also appears in an infected form. The series’ official promotional material depicts him transformed into a zombie whilst still wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, combining his usual cosmic power with the threat of the outbreak.

This POP! No. 1667 depicts precisely this incarnation of Zombie Thanos: a decaying Titan, still clad in his armour and wearing the Infinity Gauntlet, rendered in Funko’s stylised design.
