Discover Reed Richards and his robotic assistant H.E.R.B.I.E. with this set of two Hasbro Marvel Legends Series figures, inspired by Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. Measuring 15 cm, this set features the cinematic incarnation of Mr Fantastic introduced in *The Fantastic Four: First Steps* and portrayed by Pedro Pascal.
Here, Mr Fantastic wears the Fantastic Four’s new white and blue outfit, featuring the ‘4’ emblem on his chest. The figure features realistic sculpting in keeping with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and multiple points of articulation in the head, arms and legs. It comes with an alternate head and a pair of interchangeable hands to vary its display.
H.E.R.B.I.E. truly completes the set and is not merely a decorative accessory. The little robot also features an articulated design with a movable head, arms and legs. Its white and blue design, accented with metallic and coloured details, echoes the retro-futuristic aesthetic associated with the Fantastic Four in the MCU. The two figures can therefore be displayed together in a laboratory setting or alongside the other Marvel Legends Avengers: Doomsday figures.

Origin and character lore
Reed Richards, alias Mr Fantastic, is the leader of the Fantastic Four and one of the greatest scientific geniuses in the Marvel Universe. In the comics, Reed, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm acquire their powers after being exposed to cosmic rays during an experimental space flight. Reed’s body becomes extremely elastic, allowing him to stretch, contort and reshape his form in spectacular ways.
His intelligence, however, remains just as important as his physical abilities. Reed uses his scientific knowledge to explore unknown dimensions, develop new technologies and find solutions to the threats faced by the Fantastic Four. The group quickly becomes one of Marvel’s most important teams, based notably in the Baxter Building in New York.
H.E.R.B.I.E., meanwhile, is a robot closely linked to the Richards family. His name stands for ‘Highly Engineered Robot Built for Interdimensional Exploration’. In the comics, Mr Fantastic and an alien scientist create him to help track down Galactus. His role then evolves: H.E.R.B.I.E. becomes a regular assistant at the Baxter Building and accompanies the Fantastic Four on various scientific missions and adventures.
The little robot also develops a special bond with Franklin Richards, the son of Reed and Sue. Marvel regularly portrays him as Franklin’s robotic companion, with the pair embarking on numerous adventures centred around Mr Fantastic’s inventions and laboratories.
In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Reed Richards is played by Pedro Pascal. This version of the Fantastic Four is introduced in *The Fantastic Four: First Steps*, which features a retro-futuristic aesthetic inspired by the 1960s. Marvel has confirmed that Reed, Sue, Johnny and Ben will then continue their story in *Avengers: Doomsday*, where the Fantastic Four are set to join forces with the Avengers and the X-Men to face a threat involving the collision of different worlds.
This Marvel Legends set therefore brings together two complementary figures from this universe: Reed Richards, the scientist and hero capable of stretching his body, and H.E.R.B.I.E., his robotic assistant, in their designs adapted for *Avengers: Doomsday*.
