MARVEL - Invinsible Woman & Human Torch - Figure Legends Series 15cm

Bring Susan and Johnny Storm together with this set of two Marvel Legends Series figures produced by Hasbro and inspired by Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. The two members of the Fantastic Four are presented in a 15 cm scale in their new cinematic looks, with effects that directly replicate their respective powers.

The Invisible Woman is depicted in the midst of using her powers. This version features a partially translucent finish, evoking her transition into invisibility. A transparent force shield also showcases her second major power: the creation of force fields capable of protecting her allies or neutralising her opponents.

The Human Torch, for his part, features a design showing Johnny Storm in the midst of his transformation. Parts of his body and outfit are surrounded by flames, giving the figure an appearance halfway between his human form and his fully ablaze state. Four additional flame effects help to emphasise this transformation and allow for a variety of action poses.

Both figures feature articulated heads, arms and legs. The set includes a total of nine accessories: two alternative hands and a force shield for the Invisible Woman, as well as two interchangeable hands and four flame effects for the Human Torch.

Origin and backstory of the characters (Lore)

Susan Storm, alias the Invisible Woman, is one of the four founding members of the Fantastic Four. Like Reed Richards, Ben Grimm and her brother Johnny, she gained her powers after being exposed to cosmic rays during an experimental space flight. Initially able only to become invisible, she subsequently developed much more extensive powers.

In particular, Sue can generate extremely resilient force fields and shape them with great precision. These barriers can be used as shields, platforms or means of immobilising an opponent. Throughout the comics, Marvel has shown that this mastery of force fields makes her one of the most powerful and versatile members of the Fantastic Four.

Johnny Storm, alias the Human Torch, is Susan’s younger brother. The same cosmic rays give him the ability to envelop his body in fiery plasma without getting burnt. He can control the temperature and intensity of his flames, shoot fire and fly using this energy.

Johnny is generally the most impulsive and adventurous member of the group. Despite his sometimes provocative temperament, his devotion to his sister and the rest of the Fantastic Four is a constant throughout his story. Susan, in fact, played a major part in his upbringing following the death of their parents, which explains the particularly close bond between the two characters.

This Marvel Legends 2-Pack directly highlights how their powers complement each other: Sue is depicted in the process of becoming invisible and wielding her force shield, whilst Johnny is shown in his fiery form with various flame effects. The set reflects their new looks from *Avengers: Doomsday* whilst retaining the abilities that have characterised both heroes since their comic book debuts.
