Origin and background of the licence (Lore)
Originally launched in 1992 on the Super Nintendo console with Super Mario Kart, the Mario Kart series revolutionised theparty racing game genre to establish itself as one of the most popular and addictive franchises in global pop culture. The concept brings together the iconic characters of the Mushroom Kingdom (Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Yoshi and even the infamous Bowser) on wacky themed tracks packed with traps. The strength of the franchise lies in the strategic use of zany items hidden in surprise boxes (such as the famous banana skins, speed mushrooms or the fearsome blue shell) capable of turning the outcome of a race on its head at the very last thousandth of a second. This school kit celebrates this spirit of friendly competition, energy and fun, reminding us that, just as a driver selects their tyres and wing, preparing one’s writing tools is the first step towards success.
