Origin and background of the character
Created by Wizards of the Coast for the famous collectible card game Magic: The Gathering, Urza is one of the most powerful, memorable and complex Planeswalkers in the entire history of the franchise. Hailing from the plane of Dominaria, this master craftsman and genius inventor is at the heart of mythical tales such as the ‘War of the Brothers’, a destructive, fratricidal technological conflict waged against his own brother, Mishra. Having become an immortal Planeswalker following the explosion of the Sylex, Urza has devoted his entire existence to forging alliances, crafting legendary artefacts (such as the Aquilon) and raising armies to repel the impending invasion of Phyrexia, the biomechanical civilisation led by his arch-enemy Yawgmoth. This Funko Pop! figurine pays an essential tribute to this historic hero with a tragic fate, ideal for all duelists and fans of Dominaria’s lore.
