Kotobukiya is bringing Nanachi back into the spotlight with this pre-painted figurine, measuring approximately 13.5 cm, from the *Made in Abyss* universe. The character is depicted in her signature look, entirely covered in light-coloured fur and featuring her long ears, in a composition that deliberately contrasts her endearing appearance with the eerie environment of the Abyss.
The sculpture places particular emphasis on the texture of Nanachi’s fur, the contours of her face and the details of her outfit. Her bone-inspired headdress has also been crafted with precision, featuring various surfaces and textures that enhance its organic appearance.
Nanachi stands on a plinth specially designed to evoke the environment of the Abyss. Roots, rocky elements and organic forms make up an irregular base that immediately situates the character within the series’ underground world. The compact pose maintains a total height of approximately 13.5 cm whilst lending real depth to the scene.

Character background and lore
Nanachi is one of Riko and Reg’s companions in Made in Abyss. Originally human, Nanachi fell victim to the experiments carried out by Bondrewd on her friend Mitty. Both are exposed to the Curse of the Sixth Level of the Abyss, but the consequences differ: Nanachi survives with a new appearance, covered in thick fur, whilst Mitty undergoes a far more tragic transformation.
Nanachi meets Riko and Reg on the fourth level of the Abyss and eventually joins their expedition into the depths. Thanks to her extensive knowledge of the environment, the creatures and the effects of the Curse, Nanachi quickly becomes an essential member of the group, contributing both practical and medical skills as they make their way deeper into the Abyss.
In *Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery*, the adventure continues following the events of *The Golden City of the Scorching Sun*. Riko, Reg, Nanachi and Faputa are now heading towards the seventh level of the Abyss, an even deeper and more dangerous region. Nanachi is certainly one of the main characters in this new chapter, still voiced in Japanese by Shiori Izawa.
This Kotobukiya figurine particularly highlights the contrast that has characterised Nanachi since her introduction: a soft, almost cuddly appearance combined with a particularly dark backstory. The base, inspired by the Abyss, and the more unsettling details of her headdress serve as a reminder that behind her endearing design lies a character deeply scarred by her experiences with Bondrewd and by the dangers encountered in the depths.
