MegaHouse is celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Lupin The 3rd anime with a commemorative edition of its Lupin The Gallery range. This diorama, on an approximate 1/20 scale, brings together Lupin III, his faithful partner Daisuke Jigen and the gentleman thief’s iconic car, in a scene directly inspired by the final episode of the first animated series broadcast in 1971.
This 55th Limited Model is based on the first ‘Lupin The Gallery’ release, which went on sale in 2017, whilst modifying its presentation to match the aesthetic of the original series. The car thus features a light blue/ice blue finish, whilst Lupin wears his famous green jacket with a yellow tie and Jigen his blue shirt.
The set is completed by an acrylic display base measuring approximately 19 × 13 cm, decorated with the official 55th anniversary logo. Designed as a true miniature scene rather than an isolated figurine, this edition brings together several iconic elements from the early days of *Lupin the 3rd* in a piece specially designed for display.

Created by Monkey Punch, Lupin the 3rd began as a manga in 1967, before being adapted into an animated television series from 1971 onwards. The hero, Lupin III, is presented as the grandson of the famous Arsène Lupin. A particularly resourceful burglar, he travels the world in search of treasures and regularly finds himself pursued by Inspector Zenigata.
Daisuke Jigen is one of Lupin’s most loyal companions. A sharpshooter renowned for his cool head, he accompanies the thief on many of his operations, alongside Goemon Ishikawa and Fujiko Mine, amongst others. The relationship between Lupin and Jigen is one of the franchise’s long-standing cornerstones.
This 55th Limited Model edition pays specific tribute to the first animated series. Lupin’s green jacket, Jigen’s outfit and the colour of the vehicle have been chosen to evoke their appearance in the final episode of the 1971 series. With its base bearing the 55th-anniversary logo, the diorama thus makes direct reference to the franchise’s television origins whilst integrating them into the modern ‘Lupin The Gallery’ collection.
