Add a tropical touch to your home with this Stitch ‘Flowers’ foam mat, manufactured by AyMax under official Disney licence. Measuring 40 × 60 cm, it combines a compact size with a soft Memory Foam surface, making it ideal for a bedroom, bathroom or a space dedicated to the world of Lilo & Stitch.
The design features Stitch at the centre of the composition, sitting with his characteristic mischievous expression and his large ears spread out. The character stands out against a bright pink background decorated with hibiscus flowers and white and pink tropical foliage, accompanied by the inscription ‘Stitch’. The design thus directly captures the Hawaiian atmosphere associated with the Disney franchise.
The memory foam structure provides a soft surface underfoot, whilst the non-slip underside helps keep the mat in place. The rug is also described as washable and quick-drying, making it suitable for use both as a small decorative rug and as a bathroom mat.
Stitch, originally known as Experiment 626, is an alien genetic experiment and the central character in the 2002 Disney animated film Lilo & Stitch. After escaping and landing on Earth, he finds himself on the Hawaiian islands, where he meets the young Lilo. She adopts him, thinking she is taking in a particularly unusual pet.
Originally designed as a creature with exceptional strength and intended to wreak havoc, Stitch initially proves to be impulsive and destructive. His relationship with Lilo gradually transforms his behaviour: through his time with the young girl and her sister Nani, he discovers loyalty, friendship and, above all, the Hawaiian concept of ‘ohana, according to which family means that no one is abandoned or forgotten.
The Hawaiian visual identity has become inextricably linked with the character throughout the franchise. The hibiscus flowers, tropical foliage and bright colours used on this AyMax rug directly echo this island setting and thus provide a backdrop that is particularly consistent with Stitch’s world.
