Keep your little savings safe under Kuromi’s mischievous watchful eye with this officially licensed Hello Kitty 3D piggy bank. Manufactured by CYP, it combines the practicality of a hard-shell piggy bank with a soft, plush-inspired fabric cover. Measuring approximately 17 cm, it also makes a lovely decorative item for a bedroom, an office or a collection dedicated to Sanrio characters.
The piggy bank features Kuromi’s round head in a predominantly purple colour scheme. Her white face is embroidered with large black eyes complete with eyelashes, a small pink nose and a subtle smile. The character’s distinctive headdress is adorned with a pink skull on the forehead and extends into two long ears topped with rounded pom-poms.
The coin slot is integrated into the top, behind the head, so that it remains discreet when viewed from the front. An opening at the bottom of the piggy bank allows you to retrieve your savings without damaging the item. Its stable, compact shape means it can be placed on a shelf, a chest of drawers or a bedside table.
The soft covering gives it a warmer appearance than a traditional plastic or ceramic piggy bank. This hybrid design makes Kuromi a practical accessory whilst retaining the round, cuddly look of a decorative soft toy.
Kuromi is a character created by Sanrio and presented as My Melody’s self-proclaimed rival. She is recognisable by her dark headdress with long ears, adorned with a pink skull whose expression can change depending on her mood.
Behind her rebellious appearance and sometimes boisterous behaviour, Kuromi has a romantic and sensitive personality. She particularly enjoys writing in her diary, reading love stories and cultivating an image that is at once gothic, mischievous and kawaii.
Kuromi is often accompanied by Baku, a purple tapir capable of flight. Together, they feature notably in the *Onegai My Melody* universe, where their schemes regularly lead to chaotic situations for My Melody and her friends.
This piggy bank features the character’s distinctive traits, whilst replacing the usual black of her headdress with a pastel purple. The pink skull, pointed ears and mischievous gaze, however, ensure she remains instantly recognisable.
