Origin and character lore

Kirby is a small, pink hero who lives mainly on the planet Popstar, in the peaceful Land of Dreams. Despite his round and endearing appearance, he possesses impressive abilities which he regularly uses to defend his world.

His most iconic power allows him to suck up his opponents and certain objects. When he swallows certain enemies, Kirby can copy their abilities and gain new powers, often changing his appearance and fighting style.

Throughout his adventures, Kirby encounters characters such as Waddle Dee, King Dadidou and Meta Knight. His cheerful nature, remarkable appetite and wide range of expressions have become an integral part of his identity. This set of four coasters capitalises on this expressive side of the character by featuring several different depictions of Kirby.
