KIKI'S DELIVERY SERVICE - Jiji lies down - Funwari Plush 16cm

This premium official soft toy brings a touch of softness and magic straight from the poetic world of Studio Ghibli. Officially licensed by Semic, this collectable soft toy showcases Japanese pop culture’s most loyal companion in an irresistible pose.

The design incorporates the unique stylistic features of the Japanese Funwari collection, renowned for the lightness and extreme softness of its creations. Measuring 16 cm, this soft toy perfectly captures the laid-back demeanour of the famous black cat, depicted here lying flat on its stomach with its front paws outstretched. Its ultra-soft texture offers a wonderfully delicate tactile experience, ideal for moments of tenderness.

The soft toy faithfully recreates its distinctive physical features with large, embroidered white eyes that convey an expressive gaze, upright pink ears and a small, delicate nose. It is made from a combination of silky polyester fibres and a filling incorporating polyethylene microbeads at its base, ensuring excellent shape retention and a balanced weight when placed on a surface. Designed to adorn a shelf or a bed, or to accompany young and old alike in their daily lives, this collector’s item comes with its official Ghibli cardboard label.

In Hayao Miyazaki’s 1989 masterpiece, Kiki’s Delivery Service, Jiji is the talking black cat and the young Kiki’s inseparable confidant. He accompanies her on her family’s traditional journey, which involves leaving home for a year to complete her training as a witch in a new town. With a cautious, slightly sarcastic yet deeply endearing personality, Jiji often acts as the voice of reason in the face of his mistress’s impulsive outbursts. His close bond with Kiki lies at the heart of the film, symbolising the transition from childhood to adulthood. This soft toy celebrates this iconic and timeless character, a must-have for all lovers of Japanese animation.
