Technical specificationsK-Pop Demon Hunters is a musical animated film produced by Sony Pictures Animation, released on 25 June 2025 on Netflix. It follows the K-pop group HUNTR/X, comprising three idols — Rumi, Mira and Zoey — who lead a secret double life as demon hunters, tasked with protecting the Honmoon, a magical shield coveted by the demon king Gwi-Ma and his henchmen, the Saja Boys.
Sussie is one of the whimsical little creatures who hang around the heroine Rumi, bringing light-heartedness and humour to the story. The film was a phenomenal hit on Netflix, surpassing 500 million views in six months, winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature and a Grammy Award for its single ‘Golden’ – the first South Korean song to reach number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
