Origin and background of the character
Launched by the American toy company Mattel in 1968, Hot Wheels revolutionised the world of miniature cars with its bold designs inspired by ‘Custom Cars’ and the now legendary orange plastic racetracks. Originally designed to race at top speed with minimal friction, these 1:64 scale replicas have evolved from childhood toys into highly sought-after collectables for adults worldwide. The brand’s fiery logo, which has retained its dynamic essence throughout the decades, symbolises speed, performance and automotive creativity. This decorative lamp, produced by Paladone, captures this blend of retro and modern heritage, making it ideal for infusing your home with a dynamic and luminous atmosphere.
