Character background and lore
Inspired by the novel and the cult 1990 miniseries, Pennywise is an ancient cosmic entity of extraterrestrial origin who has made his home in the sewers of Derry with a single aim: to feed on children’s fears and establish himself as the ultimate predator of the horror multiverse. Capable of taking the form of its prey’s worst nightmares, this creature awakens every 27 years, using the deceptively jovial appearance of a circus clown and its absolute mastery of illusions to lure the unwary. It is he who orchestrates the mysterious disappearances and spreads terror throughout the town, forcing the Losers’ Club to unite to seal his fate. This marks the beginning of a gruelling psychological battle, in which the monster uses its legendary cruelty to break the survivors’ resolve, establishing itself as an essential must-have for the collections of genre enthusiasts.
