This FuRyu figurine celebrates Hatsune Miku in an original collaboration with the Japanese confectionery brand TIROL CHOCO. Entitled ‘Matcha Mochi Ver. ’, this design translates the colours and indulgent world of Matcha Mochi chocolate into an outfit specially designed for the virtual singer.
Miku appears in an outfit dominated by matcha green, white and touches of pink. The outfit combines a light-coloured bodice, several green ribbons and a voluminous skirt whose rounded shapes evoke the soft, fluffy texture of mochi. A small green headpiece and various ornaments complete this very different take on her classic virtual outfit.
Her long turquoise pigtails remain instantly recognisable and fan out widely around her silhouette, creating a balanced composition despite the figurine’s relatively compact size. The pose, with her legs slightly crossed, conveys a sense of lightness, whilst the floral motifs and confectionery-inspired details reinforce the sweet and colourful character of this collaboration.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer originally developed by Crypton Future Media. First appearing in 2007 as a voice bank for the VOCALOID2 software, she enables users to create sung tracks using programmed lyrics and melodies. Her appearance, with her long turquoise pigtails, quickly became inseparable from her voice and her digital identity.
Unlike a character from a single story, Hatsune Miku functions as an open creative platform. Musicians, illustrators, animators and creators from all over the world can develop their own works centred on her, which explains the vast number of visual interpretations of the character and her collaborations with artists, brands and various cultural spheres.
TIROL CHOCO is a Japanese brand known for its small, individually wrapped chocolates available in a wide range of flavours. The Matcha Mochi combines a matcha-flavoured outer layer with a filling inspired by the soft, chewy texture of mochi, creating a sweet with distinct Japanese influences.
This collaboration makes the most of Hatsune Miku’s great visual flexibility: the colours, shapes and identity of the Matcha Mochi are transformed into a costume whilst retaining the virtual singer’s instantly recognisable features. The figurine thus represents a convergence of digital culture, Japanese confectionery and figurine collecting.
