Discover Hatsune Miku in a take inspired by *Alice in Wonderland* with this Desktop Fairy – Wonderland Ver. figurine produced by FuRyu. Standing approximately 16 cm tall without the base, this is the third model in the first Desktop Fairy series dedicated to Miku, following the Little Red Riding Hood and Mermaid Princess versions. 

In this Wonderland version, Miku is depicted in a particularly dynamic pose, balancing on one leg whilst the other is bent backwards. She wears a turquoise blue dress with a white ruffled apron, white tights and strappy shoes. A striking black bow complements her long turquoise pigtails. In her hands, she holds a cup and saucer, a direct reference to the tea-party imagery associated with the world of Alice in Wonderland.

Character background and lore

Hatsune Miku is a virtual singer developed by Crypton Future Media. Originally launched on 31 August 2007 with the VOCALOID2 software, she enables users to create their own songs by programming lyrics and melodies. Her original voice is based on samples recorded by the Japanese actress Saki Fujita. 

Her official profile describes her as a 16-year-old virtual singer, 158 cm tall, recognisable by her two long blue-green pigtails. The name Hatsune Miku is associated with the idea of the ‘first sound of the future’. Beyond the original music software, the character has become the centre of a vast participatory culture in which musicians, illustrators and video artists create and share their own works.

The Wonderland version does not form part of any particular canonical Miku story. It is an original reinterpretation inspired by *Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland*, conceived by Eku Uekura for Desktop Fairy. FuRyu conceived this first series as a triptych dedicated to fairy tales: Little Red Riding Hood, Mermaid Princess and then Wonderland. The latter thus draws on the themes of the Mad Hatter’s tea party and the world of Alice, whilst retaining Hatsune Miku’s iconic colours and hairstyle.
