Origin and background of the franchise (Lore)

Reading and books play a vital role in the Harry Potter universe. At Hogwarts, pupils use numerous textbooks on potions, spells, Transfiguration, magical creatures and the history of magic. The school library is also an important setting in the series, particularly for Hermione Granger, who regularly conducts research there to help Harry and Ron solve the mysteries they face.

The newspaper’s design brings together the four Hogwarts houses. Gryffindor is traditionally associated with courage and determination, Slytherin with ambition and cunning, Ravenclaw with intelligence and curiosity, and Hufflepuff with loyalty and hard work. Their joint appearance on the cover makes this diary a product dedicated to Hogwarts as a whole rather than to a single house.

The Readers Club collection draws precisely on this literary aspect of Harry Potter. This reading journal thus naturally extends the world of the series by offering a space in which to record the books read, one’s impressions and discoveries, in a design directly inspired by the school of witchcraft and wizardry.
