Take the plunge and build your first Mobile Suit with the official Entry Grade model kit of the RX-78-2 Gundam in the Lite Package edition!
Designed to offer a universal, fun and affordable introduction to Japanese model-making, Bandai Hobby’s Entry Grade (EG) range is redefining the rules of Gunpla. This kit of the original Gundam, piloted by the legendary Amuro Ray, comes in a sleek, transparent soft-pack (Lite Package), ideal for introductory sessions at school or in a workshop, or as a spontaneous gift.
This top-quality model benefits from Bandai’s most advanced modern engineering. The plastic sprues utilise the patented ‘Touch Gate’ technology, which allows each part to be cleanly detached by hand with a simple press of the finger, eliminating the need for cutting pliers. The model is fully pre-coloured with impeccable separation of the primary colours (white, blue, red and bright yellow). Even the famous yellow eye cameras are outlined by an ingenious black shadow relief, completely eliminating the hassle of applying small, delicate stickers. In this eco-essential version, the robot comes with its iconic red and white heavy shield (Shield) and laser rifle (Beam Rifle), offering complete freedom of movement to recreate heroic combat poses.
The assembly experience is all about pure enjoyment and instant results. No messy glue, no tools, no paint required. The high-precision components snap together smoothly with a simple mechanical press thanks to Snap-fit technology. Once the joints are locked into place, the 14 cm tall robot boasts exceptional flexibility at the hips, knees and shoulders, ready to take its place proudly amongst your manga collection.
