Origin and world of the character (Lore)
1944 was a golden period for Goofy, who made his mark on cinema screens with a series of animated shorts focusing on sport and everyday life. It was a time when the Disney studios were intensively developing his role as a burlesque guinea pig in famous learning segments, such as the memorable How to Play Football released that same year. The themed collection retraces these precious visual milestones in his career. The 1944 version perfectly captures the carefree, more flexible plastic design and dynamic postures that forged the popularity of this prominent member of the "Excellent Eight" during the decade of the Second World War.
