GRENDIZER - Grendizer & Gin Gin (Fight Scene) - figure 25cm

Relive one of Goldorak’s most memorable battles with this 25 cm ‘Goldorak vs Gin Gin (Battle)’ diorama, produced by Plastoy. This collectable scene pits the famous robot piloted by Actarus against Gin Gin, a particularly formidable war machine from Vega, in a dynamic composition directly inspired by the animated series.

The figurine depicts Goldorak gaining the upper hand over Gin Gin during their battle, with the display designed as a genuine mini-diorama. The two robots are brought together in a single display to capture the intensity of their confrontation and showcase their distinctive mechanical silhouettes. Made from PVC and ABS, the set stands approximately 25 cm tall.

This Plastoy piece is directly inspired by episode 7 of the original series, known in French as ‘Le Festin des loups’. Its size and presentation make it a collector’s item intended primarily for display, particularly suited to collections dedicated to Goldorak and the adversaries of the Vega Empire.

Origin and backstory of the characters (Lore)

Goldorak is the powerful robot piloted by Actarus, prince of the planet Euphor, who took refuge on Earth after his world was destroyed by the forces of Vega. From Professor Procyon’s Research Centre, Actarus uses Goldorak to defend Earth against repeated attacks by the Vega Empire and its war machines.

Gin Gin appears in episode 7 of the original series, ‘The Feast of the Wolves’. It is piloted by an elite Vega officer called Gorman in some French-language sources and Janus in other adaptations. Convinced of his superiority over the commanders already tasked with eliminating Goldorak, he arrives with the intention of personally defeating Actarus. BEM’S describes Gin Gin as a machine powerful enough to cause Goldorak serious difficulty.

However, the duel turns in Actarus’s favour. Whilst Gin Gin is putting up a particularly tough fight against Goldorak, rivalry within the Vega forces themselves intervenes in the clash: out of jealousy, Hydargos/Blaki orders his own troops to fire on Gin Gin, contributing to its defeat.

This 25 cm Goldorak vs Gin Gin diorama thus recreates a clash taken directly from an iconic episode of the series, bringing together in a single display Go Nagai’s hero and one of Vega’s war machines that put up particularly fierce resistance against him.
