Character background and universe
Malcolm “Deep Six” Willoughby is the go-to specialist for underwater operations in extreme environments within the elite international G.I. Joe team, the special defence force created by Hasbro. A solitary, eccentric character accustomed to the pressures of the deep, he spends most of his time confined in heavy diving suits or piloting the SHARC mini-reconnaissance submarine. Recruited for his exceptional skills in oceanography and underwater combat, Deep Six is the Joes’ main line of defence against the Cobra organisation’s maritime ambitions. Whether sabotaging secret underwater bases, defusing hydrographic mines or facing the fearsome Cobra Eels in the darkness of the oceans, he carries out his perilous missions with unfailing composure and efficiency.
