Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Introduced in the TV series Futurama created by Matt Groening, Amy Wong is a student at the University of Mars on a long-term engineering placement with the interplanetary delivery company Planet Express. Born into a family of huge landowners who own the entire western hemisphere of Mars, Amy's dynamic personality, casual style of dress and recurring physical awkwardness often prompt Professor Farnsworth to keep her around for reasons of blood compatibility in the event of an accident. Over the seasons, her technical knowledge and her evolving relationship with the alien Kif Kroker make her a central pillar of the Planet Express team.
