Origin and background of the character
The Monstera figurine is part of an original themed series developed by Funko to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the botanical world through the lens of pop culture. Moving away from the usual film or comic book heroes, this collection humanises the world’s flora by giving it the cute, distinctive features characteristic of the brand’s figurines.
The Monstera, a famous tropical plant native to Central America and recognisable by its large, iconic perforated leaves, embodies the ‘urban jungle’ aesthetic and the modern passion for indoor plant design. This figurine transforms this timeless design into a decorative piece, ideal for bringing a Zen-like, verdant and decidedly original aesthetic to the shelf of any nature or interior design enthusiast.
