Origin and world of the character (Lore)
The ultimate creature born of Dr Gero's genetic experiments within the Red Ribbon army, Cell is a synthetic being created from the cells of the universe's greatest warriors, including Son Goku, Vegeta, Piccolo and Freezer. After absorbing the androids C-17 and C-18 to achieve his perfect form, he organises the Cell Games tournament to test his abilities and humiliate Earth's protectors. Pushed to the limit by the phenomenal power of Son Gohan Super Saiyan 2, the bio-android returns from the dead even more powerful thanks to his Saiyan genes, initiating a Dantesque energy battle during which he unleashes a solar Kamehameha with a power capable of pulverising the entire solar system.
