Banpresto / Bandai Spirits’ Ichibansho collection continues its retrospective of the saga’s key moments with Majin Vegeta, one of the most memorable incarnations of the Prince of the Saiyans during the Majin Buu arc. Part of the ‘The Chronicle of Goku’ series and the MASTERLISE range, this pre-painted figurine measures approximately 24 cm and captures the moment when Vegeta accepts Babidi’s influence in order to regain his full aggression and provoke a new confrontation with Son Goku.
Vegeta is depicted in his Majin and Super Saiyan forms, with his golden hair standing on end and Babidi’s famous black ‘M’ clearly visible on his forehead. His contorted face, bulging veins and angry expression highlight the character’s tension. He strikes a particularly powerful pose, with his legs firmly planted on the ground, his arms slightly spread from his body and his fists clenched.
The figurine features his blue jumpsuit without armour, worn during his duel against Goku, as well as his white gloves and boots. The absence of the Saiyan chest plate allows the MASTERLISE sculpture to further highlight his musculature, particularly in the torso, shoulders and arms. The relatively static pose thus relies primarily on the character’s physical tension and expression to convey his power.
Standing 24 cm tall, this version of Majin Vegeta is a key piece in The Chronicle of Goku collection. It can be displayed alongside Super Saiyan 2 Goku, also available in this series, to visually recreate their confrontation during the Majin Buu arc.

Vegeta is the prince of the Saiyan race and one of Son Goku’s main rivals. Initially introduced as a particularly cruel enemy, he gradually evolves through his interactions with Earth, Bulma and his son Trunks. Despite this evolution, his desire to surpass Goku remains deeply ingrained in his personality.
During the Majin Buu arc, the sorcerer Babidi detects the darkness that still lingers in Vegeta’s heart and uses his magic on him. Vegeta also sees this transformation as an opportunity to rediscover the brutality he feels he has lost and to gain enough power to force Goku to face him once more. The ‘M’ mark that appears on his forehead becomes the visual symbol of this period.
The duel between Majin Vegeta and Super Saiyan 2 Goku becomes one of the most memorable clashes in Dragon Ball Z. However, their battle releases a considerable amount of energy, directly contributing to the awakening of Majin Buu.
Vegeta then realises the consequences of his actions. After knocking Goku unconscious, he chooses to face Buu alone. Before the fight, he bids farewell to Trunks, asks him to look after his mother, and finally attempts to destroy Majin Buu by sacrificing his own life. The official Dragon Ball website highlights this moment as a crucial stage in his development: behind his pride and his desire to become the ruthless Saiyan he once was, Vegeta finally accepts the affection he feels for his family.
This ‘The Chronicle of Goku’ figurine captures precisely this period of inner conflict. Babidi’s ‘M’, the blue outfit without armour, the Super Saiyan form and the furious expression visually encapsulate one of the most important chapters in Vegeta’s development in Dragon Ball Z.
