Based on Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO, this Banpresto figurine depicts Son Gohan in his Beast transformation, a form he unleashed during the final battle against Cell Max. Part of the Blood of Saiyans collection, it stands approximately 17 cm tall and features a highly dynamic pose, differing from the more static depictions of Beast Gohan previously seen in this range.
Gohan is depicted in full motion, his body almost horizontal, with one leg stretched out far in front whilst the other remains bent. Both arms are thrust out to the sides, fists clenched, giving the figure the appearance of a particularly energetic leaping attack. The figure’s very open stance serves to highlight both his musculature and the range of his pose.
This version incorporates the key visual elements of Gohan Beast: his spectacular silver-grey hair standing on end, his red eyes, his battle-damaged purple gi, his red belt and his black wrist guards. Several tears have been sculpted into the top of the outfit and the trousers, directly recalling his appearance during the final battle in *Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO*.
Son Gohan is the son of Son Goku and one of the major fighters in the Dragon Ball universe. Although he has always possessed exceptional potential, he generally prioritises his family life and his research over constant training. In Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO, however, the emergence of new threats linked to the Red Ribbon Army forces him to return fully to the fray alongside Piccolo.
During the battle against Cell Max, Piccolo finds himself in a critical situation whilst trying to hold off the opponent. Seeing his master fall, Gohan unleashes a power never seen before and awakens to his new ‘Beast’ form, characterised by extremely long silver hair, red eyes and a considerable increase in his power and speed. The official Dragon Ball website explicitly describes this event as Gohan’s awakening to his new ‘Beast’ form.
Gohan then uses this transformation to deliver the decisive blow to Cell Max with the Makankosappo / Special Beam Cannon, Piccolo’s signature technique. This attack is one of the central moments of the finale of *Dragon Ball Super: SUPER HERO* and marks the culmination of the master-disciple relationship between Gohan and Piccolo.
