Origin and background of the character
Launched in 2000 on the Nickelodeon channel, the edutainment series Dora the Explorer has left its mark on the childhoods of millions of young viewers around the world. The plot follows Dora and her companion Boots on their daily explorations, punctuated by puzzles. Their adventures are regularly disrupted by Swiper, an orange fox wearing a blue hood and blue gloves, whose sole obsession is to hide the protagonists’ belongings. Only the famous magic phrase, repeated three times – ‘Swiper, stop swiping!’ – can thwart his plans. This Funko Pop! figure nostalgically captures the mischievous charm of this iconic mascot, making it the perfect retro addition to pair with the other characters from the franchise.
