This figurative money box from Monogram International depicts the Evil Queen, the iconic antagonist from the Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. Standing approximately 20 cm tall, it combines the function of a money box with that of a decorative item for Disney enthusiasts and collectors of the famous Disney Villains.
The Queen is depicted in her characteristic royal attire, complete with her crown, long gown and high white ruff. She holds the poisoned red apple in her hands, an element directly associated with her plot against Snow White. The character thus retains the key visual elements of her appearance in the 1937 animated film, in a PVC figurine format featuring contrasting colours.
The slot for coins is located at the back of the figurine, whilst a removable plug beneath the base allows the contents to be retrieved without damaging the piggy bank. Measuring approximately 8 inches, it can be used to store loose change whilst being displayed on a shelf, a desk or as part of a Disney collection.

The Wicked Queen is the main antagonist in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Disney’s first major animated classic, released in 1937 and directed by David Hand. Jealous of her stepdaughter Snow White’s beauty, the Queen cannot bear that her Magic Mirror now declares the young princess to be ‘the fairest of them all’.
Obsessed with retaining this title, the Queen first orders the huntsman to kill Snow White. When her plan fails, she resorts to magic herself and takes the form of an old market woman. In this guise, she prepares a poisoned apple and manages to persuade Snow White to take a bite. Disney directly links this transformation and the apple to the Queen’s jealousy of her stepdaughter.
The red apple has thus become one of the Evil Queen’s most instantly recognisable symbols. Its inclusion on this Monogram money box serves to represent the character not only in her regal guise, but also through the central element of her plot against Snow White. The figurine thus makes a direct reference to one of the most famous scenes from the Disney classic.
