Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Released in 2010, Disney Studios' 50th animated classic, Rapunzel, reinterprets the traditional tale of the Brothers Grimm. Abducted at an early age by the cruel Mother Gothel because of the magical and regenerative properties of her golden hair, the princess grows up a recluse at the top of a hidden tower. With a curious, creative and artistic temperament, she spends her days keeping busy by painting large murals on the walls of her prison, expressing her secret dream of discovering the outside world and the truth about flying lanterns. The Ultimate Princess collection showcases this creative side by incorporating her painting and her strong bond with her pet chameleon Pascal, who helps her break her solitude.
