Caricamento
This MegaHouse figurine from the G.E.M. Series collection brings together Ruki Makino and her Digimon partner Renamon, two key characters from *Digimon Tamers*.
Ruki is depicted in her signature look from the series, with her red hair tied up high, a white top adorned with a broken heart, light blue sleeves, a yellow scarf, dark trousers and red shoes. Her arm is outstretched in front of her, with a Digimon card between her fingers, directly evoking the Card Slash system used in *Digimon Tamers*. Interchangeable parts also allow her to hold her D-Ark Digivice, recreating another pose from the series.
Beside her, Renamon strikes a slender, dynamic pose. Her yellow and white silhouette, long ears, large tail and purple arm guards bearing the yin-yang symbol are reproduced true to her design in the anime. Her pose echoes that of Ruki, with the two characters thus forming a cohesive composition rather than two entirely separate figures.
MegaHouse has also incorporated ball joints in the heads of both characters. This makes it possible to slightly adjust the direction of their gaze and create different interactions between Ruki and Renamon. The set includes the two pre-painted figurines as well as a dedicated display stand for displaying them together.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Ruki Makino is one of the main Tamers in *Digimon Tamers*, the third major animated series in the *Digimon* franchise. Unlike the previous Digimon Adventure series, Tamers takes place in a new continuity and places a strong emphasis on the Digimon card game: humans can use their cards to temporarily alter their partners’ abilities during battles.
Ruki is a particularly talented player who has earned herself the nickname ‘Digimon Queen’. At the start of the story, her proud and competitive nature leads her to view Digimon primarily in terms of battle and power. Her relationship with Renamon is therefore much more distant than that between Takato and Guilmon or Henry and Terriermon.
Renamon is a Rookie-level Digimon, of the Beast Man type and with the Data attribute. Her appearance resembles a large, anthropomorphic golden fox. Calm and extremely disciplined, she prioritises speed and technical precision over brute force. Her abilities include Kohenkyo, which allows her to mimic an opponent’s appearance, and Diamond Storm, an attack that hurls a multitude of sharp shards.
Throughout *Digimon Tamers*, the relationship between Ruki and Renamon evolves considerably. Their partnership, initially based on combat performance, gradually develops into a genuine bond of trust and affection. Ruki learns to stop seeing Renamon as merely a means to become stronger, whilst Renamon, too, develops a deeper understanding of the bond that unites a Digimon with its Tamer.
This emotional development also accompanies Renamon’s progression to more powerful forms, notably Kyubimon and then Taomon, before the bond between the two partners enables them to reach Sakuyamon. The composition chosen by MegaHouse, with Ruki and Renamon positioned side by side in complementary poses, directly echoes this central relationship in *Digimon Tamers*.
