In the world of Demon Slayer
In the ruthless world of Demon Slayer, Zenitsu Agatsuma is a travelling companion of Tanjiro Kamado. Raised and trained by the former Lightning Pillar, Jigoro Kuwajima, Zenitsu suffers from a severe lack of self-confidence and spends most of his time fleeing from danger or panicking in the face of demons. Yet his body harbours a remarkable defence mechanism: when he faints from terror, his subconscious takes over, transforming him into a swordsman of unparalleled speed. Although he has only managed to master the first of the six moves of the Breath of Lightning, the ‘Hekireki Itsen ’ (The Flash of Lightning), he has perfected it to the point of achieving godlike speed, capable of decapitating his enemies in the blink of an eye.
