Origin and character’s universe
Published by DC Comics in 1993, the ‘Knightfall’ story arc is an essential milestone in the history of American comics. This legendary saga is renowned for introducing the fearsome colossus Bane, the criminal mastermind who achieves the unthinkable: breaking Bruce Wayne’s back, leaving him paralysed. Forced to temporarily step down from his role as Gotham City’s protector, Bruce chose Jean-Paul Valley (Azrael) to succeed him behind the mask. However, the new Dark Knight quickly succumbs to madness and violence, donning a heavily armed, high-tech bat-suit, which will later force Bruce Wayne to wage a fierce battle to reclaim his legacy. This Funko Pop! figurine pays the perfect nostalgic tribute to this dark and iconic era of the 1990s, establishing itself as a centrepiece for all fans of the Gotham universe.
