Origin and character background (Lore)
In the dark streets of Gotham City, Harvey Dent’s coin is far more than just a piece of metal: it embodies human tragedy. Originally, Harvey Dent, the brilliant and incorruptible district attorney nicknamed the ‘White Knight’, used a silver dollar with two identical heads to rig the odds and prove that he was the sole master of his own destiny. However, following the attack orchestrated by the underworld that left him horribly disfigured on the left half of his face, his psyche split in two. Having become the criminal Two-Face, he defaced one side of his treasured coin. From then on, he surrenders his free will to chance: every decision, every crime and every life spared or taken now depends on a simple coin toss. This set of historic replicas celebrates one of the most psychologically complex and fascinating villains in Gotham’s mythology.
