Discover Great Exkizer, the ultimate form of the hero from *Brave Fighter Exkizer*, with this Full Edition model kit designed by Kotobukiya. Standing approximately 18 cm tall when assembled, this kit recreates the very first robot featured in Kotobukiya’s Brave model series, incorporating several entirely new parts as well as elements previously included as bonus items with Dainogaist.
The sculpt has been developed to reproduce as faithfully as possible the robot’s proportions as seen in the reference illustrations and the anime series. An articulated chassis is integrated into the entire body to maintain a silhouette close to the original design whilst allowing for numerous action poses. Kotobukiya has deliberately prioritised articulation over the reproduction of the combination mechanism, resulting in a greater range of movement.
This Full Edition improves upon several aspects of the first version. In particular, the upper arms feature new one-piece moulded parts to achieve a cleaner finish after assembly. The kit also includes an interchangeable head, two faces inspired by the final episode, a new hip joint structure, various mane options for the lion on the torso, and an elongated neck piece specifically designed to facilitate posing and low-angle photography.
The weaponry includes two versions of the Kizer Sword, one of which features a blade with a deliberately exaggerated perspective to recreate the anime’s spectacular poses, as well as the Dragon Archery and King Exkizer’s Kizer Sword. Three types of interchangeable hands are also included: clenched fists, open hands and hands designed to hold weapons. The standard 3 mm and 5 mm connection points also allow the use of certain parts from other Kotobukiya ranges such as Frame Arms and Frame Arms Girl.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Brave Fighter Exkizer is an anime series produced by Sunrise, which aired in Japan from February 1990 to January 1991, comprising 48 episodes. It is the first title in the famous Brave Series. The story begins when the Geisters, space pirates composed of energy beings, arrive on Earth with the intention of stealing humanity’s various treasures. Hot on their heels are the Kaisers, members of the space police.
Exkizer, leader of the Kaisers, takes possession of the Hoshikawa family’s car so that he can operate discreetly on Earth. However, he reveals his true identity to the young Kouta Hoshikawa when the boy finds himself confronted by the Geisters. A genuine friendship then develops between the boy and the alien robot, whilst Exkizer gradually learns to understand Earth’s culture and the value that humans place on their ‘treasures’.
When his normal form is no longer sufficient, Exkizer can combine with the support vehicle King Roader to become King Exkizer. He can also use the Dragon Jet to form Dragon Kizer. Great Exkizer represents the culmination of these various configurations: Exkizer combines simultaneously with the King Roader and the Dragon Jet in a ‘Super Giant Combination’, thereby creating his most powerful form. Sunrise officially presents this as the ultimate form capable of turning the tide of battle against Dinogeist.
His iconic weapon, the Kizer Sword, also has a connection to Earth’s ancient history within the series. The ancestors of the Kaisers are said to have visited the planet several centuries earlier and hidden various pieces of equipment in ancient sites. The Kizer Sword is thus discovered thanks to the Nazca Lines, where it had been left for their successors.
Great Exkizer ultimately plays a pivotal role in the series’ conclusion. During the final showdown on the Moon, he battles Dinogeist with the Kizer Sword in a decisive battle that puts an end to the threat posed by the Geisters. Having completed their mission, Exkizer and the other Kaisers finally leave Earth, but not before bidding farewell to Kouta and the humans with whom they have formed bonds.
