AVENGERS DOOMSDAY - POP Marvel N° 1637 - Thor

AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY – Marvel POP! No. 1637 – Thor

Meet Thor, the God of Thunder and iconic member of the Avengers, with this Funko POP! Marvel No. 1637 figure inspired by Avengers: Doomsday. Standing approximately 12.2 cm tall, this figure depicts the Asgardian hero armed with Stormbreaker, in the instantly recognisable style of the POP! range, featuring an oversized head and a bobble-head mechanism.

Thor appears in his new battle outfit, with his long blonde hair, beard and an imposing red cape. His armour combines dark and metallic elements, whilst several golden details emphasise his Asgardian appearance. He holds Stormbreaker in his right hand; the weapon plays a prominent role in the design and contributes to this figure’s greater height compared to many standard POP! figures.

This release is part of Funko’s first wave dedicated to Avengers: Doomsday, alongside Doctor Doom, Mr Fantastic, Magneto, Cyclops and Yelena Belova, amongst others. Presented in its display box, numbered 1637, it can be displayed directly in its packaging or added to a collection dedicated to the Avengers and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Character background and lore

Thor Odinson is the son of Odin and one of Asgard’s most powerful warriors. Originally destined to succeed his father, his impulsive nature led to his banishment to Earth, where he had to learn humility before proving himself worthy of his powers once more. This first stage of his journey lays the foundations for his evolution from an arrogant heir into a hero ready to protect both Asgard and Earth.

Thor goes on to become one of the key members of the Avengers, fighting alongside Iron Man, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye against threats capable of endangering the entire planet. His story is deeply intertwined with that of Loki, his adoptive brother, but also with the events leading up to the destruction of Asgard during Ragnarök.

Long associated with the enchanted hammer Mjolnir, Thor also wields Stormbreaker during his adventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is precisely with this weapon that Funko has chosen to depict him in its Avengers: Doomsday version, once again highlighting his role as a front-line fighter against the greatest threats.
