AVENGERS DOOMSDAY - Marvel's Beast - Figure Legend Series 15cm

This articulated Hasbro Marvel Legends Series figure depicts Marvel’s Fauve, alias Beast, in his look inspired by the Marvel Studios film *Avengers: Doomsday*. Standing approximately 15 cm tall, it combines detailed sculpting, numerous points of articulation and interchangeable accessories to allow for various display set-ups. 

The figure captures Hank McCoy’s iconic features, including his powerful physique, blue fur sculpted onto his torso and limbs, pointed ears and beast-like features. He wears dark blue trousers complemented by a yellow belt featuring the X-Men symbol, as well as yellow accents on his legs. This outfit thus blends the Beast’s classic identity with his cinematic design for *Avengers: Doomsday*.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Henry ‘Hank’ McCoy, better known as Beast, is one of the founding members of the X-Men. A mutant who initially possessed unusually large hands and feet, as well as above-average strength and agility, he joined the first team assembled by Professor Charles Xavier alongside Cyclops, Jean Grey, Angel and Iceman. 

After experimenting on himself with a compound linked to genetic mutations, Hank underwent a further transformation that gave him his famous beast-like appearance: bluish fur, fangs, claws and pointed ears. This transformation further enhanced his physical abilities, but in no way diminished his exceptional intelligence. Marvel portrays him as a brilliant scientist and academic, specialising in particular in genetics, biochemistry and the study of mutations. l

The Beast is thus distinguished by an unusual combination of physical power and intellect. He possesses superhuman strength, stamina, speed and agility, coupled with heightened senses and great scientific expertise. This duality is directly reflected in the figurine, whose interchangeable hands and head allow for combat poses, whilst the glasses and data pad evoke his role as a researcher. 

Although he is historically associated with the X-Men, Hank McCoy has also been a member of the Avengers in the Marvel comics.
