YU-GI-OH! - POP Animation N° 2562 - Pot Of Greed

Rediscover one of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s most famous cards with this Funko POP! Animation No. 2562 figurine dedicated to the Pot of Greed. This figurine transforms the strange vessel depicted on the Spell Card into a three-dimensional model, capturing its wide, unsettling grin and instantly recognisable appearance. It stands approximately 8.6 cm tall.

The sculpt captures the Pot of Greed’s distinctive face with its exaggerated features, narrow eyes and huge mouth revealing a row of yellowed teeth. Funko has deliberately retained the strange, almost caricature-like appearance of the original illustration whilst adapting it to the proportions of the POP! range, turning this iconic card into a collectable in its own right.

Made from PVC/vinyl, this figurine joins the Funko Yu-Gi-Oh! range, which also includes Buster Blader, The Renegade and Scapegoat. It comes in the traditional POP! Animation display box No. 2562, allowing it to be displayed with or without its packaging.

Origin and lore of the Pot of Greed

The Pot of Greed is a Normal Spell Card from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game. Its effect is as simple as it is famous: when activated, it allows the player to draw two cards. It imposes no additional cost or specific conditions in its effect text.

This ability to immediately generate two new cards has made Pot of Greed extremely powerful in competitive play. The official Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG database currently lists the card as Banned, meaning it cannot be used in a deck for formats that apply this list. Despite this restriction, the card continues to be reprinted in various products, particularly those intended for collecting.

The Pot of Greed has also appeared on numerous occasions in the franchise’s various anime series. The official Yu-Gi-Oh! website lists numerous appearances in *Yu-Gi-Oh! GX*, which has helped make its artwork and effect particularly familiar to fans, even beyond the physical card game.

This POP! No. 2562 thus directly transforms the illustration of the famous Spell Card into a figurine, giving a three-dimensional presence to one of the most recognisable images from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.
