Based on the RPG Xenosaga Episode I, this Kotobukiya model kit depicts KOS-MOS Ver.1, the humanoid anti-Gnosis weapon developed by Vector Industries. Produced on a 1/12 scale, it stands approximately 16 cm tall when assembled and recreates the android’s iconic first appearance in Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht.
The model features KOS-MOS Ver.1’s white and blue armour, her long blue hair and the numerous mechanical components integrated into her body. Kotobukiya uses pre-painted eyes and a matt finish on the skin-like parts to achieve a detailed finish straight out of the box, even without any additional painting. Four face plates are included, notably featuring blue- and red-eyed versions, based on new designs by the original character designer, Kunihiko Tanaka.
Interchangeable fringe pieces allow you to depict KOS-MOS when the Hilbert Effect is activated. Her arsenal is particularly comprehensive, featuring the Dragon Skull, a handheld Gatling gun, the Impact Cannon and a pistol. An alternative abdominal section also allows you to recreate the X-BUSTER sequence, one of her most memorable attacks at the end of the first episode.
Thanks to her numerous joints, KOS-MOS can be posed in various combat stances. The kit is also compatible with the MB-38 Character Stand, sold separately, to support the most dynamic poses. With over 200 parts and a wide selection of weapons and interchangeable elements, this re-release retains the exceptionally comprehensive content of the original model.

KOS-MOS is a humanoid weapon specially developed by Vector Industries to combat the Gnosis, mysterious entities that pose a major threat to humanity in the Xenosaga universe. She is at the heart of the project led by engineer Shion Uzuki, one of the main protagonists of Xenosaga Episode I.
At the start of the story, Shion and her team are carrying out the final tests on KOS-MOS aboard the Federation ship Woglinde. When a Gnosis attack occurs, KOS-MOS activates and intervenes directly to protect the team. Her behaviour is then based primarily on logic, probabilities and the parameters of her mission, which creates a stark contrast with Shion’s far more human sensibility.
One of KOS-MOS’s most distinctive features is the Hilbert Effect, which is directly represented by the interchangeable parts of this model kit. The character also possesses a vast arsenal of both built-in and external weapons, several of which are iconic to her first version and are included with this Kotobukiya kit.
Ver.1 accurately reflects KOS-MOS’s appearance at the start of the saga, before the successive upgrades to her body and equipment in subsequent instalments. This version therefore holds a special place in the visual identity of Xenosaga: white and blue armour, long blue hair, eyes that can change from blue to red, and an anti-Gnosis arsenal are the elements that Kotobukiya has reproduced here in its 1/12 scale model kit.
