Meet Lorna Dane, aka Polaris, with this 15 cm articulated figure from Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Series. Directly inspired by her appearance in Marvel Studios’ X-Men ’97, this version features her dark blue and yellow X-Factor outfit as well as her distinctive long green hair.
The figure features full articulation, allowing you to recreate various combat or flight poses. Her X-Factor-coloured costume, the red and yellow emblem on her chest and her instantly recognisable magnetic powers make this a faithful representation of Polaris as she appears in the second series of the animated series.
Two alternative hands have been officially announced by Hasbro. The manufacturer’s images also show two large, translucent green energy effects that can be positioned around the hands to represent Polaris’s manipulation of electromagnetic fields.

Character background and universe (Lore)
Lorna Dane, alias Polaris, is a mutant capable of controlling electromagnetic fields. Her powers enable her, amongst other things, to manipulate metals, create force fields, project magnetic energy and move through the air.
Her abilities are very similar to those of Magneto, and for good reason: in the Marvel universe, Lorna is the daughter of the famous master of magnetism. This family connection plays a significant role in her backstory and regularly forces her to define her own vision of coexistence between humans and mutants, independent of her father’s.
Polaris also has a long history with the X-Men. In the continuity of *X-Men: The Animated Series*, she was once a member of the team alongside Iceman. After leaving the X-Men, she eventually joined X-Factor, a government-backed team of mutants.
It was whilst at X-Factor that she grew close to Alex Summers, alias Havok. Their relationship became one of Lorna’s key personal connections and explains why the two characters appear in matching outfits in this new wave of Marvel Legends.
In the second series of X-Men ’97, broadcast in 2026, Polaris is once again part of X-Factor against a backdrop of sharply rising mistrust and hostility towards mutants. Hasbro presents this period as a time when Lorna must decide where her loyalties truly lie, her powers naturally being compared to those of Magneto.
The situation reaches a turning point in the episode ‘Danger.exe’. Following a disagreement with X-Factor’s leadership over how to combat anti-mutant groups, Polaris returns to Xavier’s Institute and rejoins the X-Men.
Her family heritage then takes on particular significance. Lorna must accept that possessing powers similar to Magneto’s does not necessarily mean following the same path as him, and she begins to assert her own identity more strongly amongst the X-Men.
This Marvel Legends Series figure accurately depicts Polaris in her X-Factor outfit from *X-Men ’97*, both before and during this pivotal period in her development.
