Origin and background of the character
Released in 1937, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was Disney Studios’ very first animated feature film, establishing itself as a historic masterpiece of cinema. The Evil Queen, obsessed with her own beauty and consumed by destructive jealousy, consults her Magic Mirror daily to ensure that no woman in the kingdom is more beautiful than she is. When she discovers that her stepdaughter Snow White has surpassed her, she orders her execution before concocting a poisoned apple herself to plunge her into a death-like sleep. The first major figure in the famous Disney Villains franchise, the Evil Queen embodies cold elegance, vanity and witchcraft. This exclusive ‘Stained Glass’ edition by Funko captures the gothic and theatrical aesthetic of the original fairy tale in a poetic and luminous decorative piece, a must-have for all fans of classic Disney lore.
