Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Inspired by Bram Stoker's gothic novel published in 1897 and immortalised on screen by actor Bela Lugosi in the 1931 film directed by Tod Browning, Count Dracula is the central and founding figure of the vampire myth in modern cinema. A hundred-year-old Transylvanian aristocrat with supernatural powers, he travels to England to spread his disease and feed on the blood of the living. Sophisticated, charismatic and a ruthless nocturnal predator, his black-draped figure has become one of the most memorable archetypes in the history of entertainment. The design of this figurine captures the character's classic aesthetic attributes, which established the visual codes of vampirism for all subsequent generations of horror films.
