Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Introduced in 1999 in the film Toy Story 2, Jessie is a loquacious rag doll from the old collection of toys from the fictional series "Woody's Tinkering". After being painfully abandoned by her first owner, Emily, she overcomes the trauma of confinement by joining Andy's toy group, becoming very close to Woody and Buzz Lightyear. In Toy Story 5, the toy community must adapt to an age dominated by digital technology and the ubiquity of touch-screen tablets. This figurine reflects the heroine's historical design in the face of contemporary developments in the franchise's universe.
