History and background of the model
Lara Croft made her comeback in 2003 in the video game Tomb Raider: The Angelof Darkness, developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive for PlayStation 2 and PC. This opus marks a major aesthetic and narrative turning point for the franchise: unjustly accused of the murder of her former mentor Werner Von Croy, Lara Croft becomes a fugitive on the run in the heart of dark, rainy Paris. For the occasion, the character ditches her famous beige shorts in favour of denim trousers and a black top, adopting a more mature, stealthy style suited to the tone of this gothic thriller.
Produced by Funko, the figure captures the iconic PlayStation 2-era outfit, highly recognisable to fans of the tomb raider's evolution.
