Momo Belia Deviluke is one of the three princesses of the planet Deviluke and the younger sister of Lala Satalin Deviluke, alongside her twin sister Nana Astar Deviluke.
Momo quickly stands out from the other members of her family due to her particularly observant and calculating nature. Behind her gentle appearance and often cheerful demeanour, she is quick to understand the feelings and motivations of those around her.
In To LOVE-Ru Darkness, Momo takes on a much more prominent role in the story. She is particularly interested in the relationship between Rito Yuuki and the many young women in his circle.
Rather than viewing this situation as a problem, Momo devises the famous ‘Harem Plan’, a scheme designed to convince Rito to enter into a relationship with several suitors so that each of them can remain by his side.
This idea becomes one of the main narrative drivers of To LOVE-Ru Darkness. Momo regularly works behind the scenes to bring Rito closer to the other heroines, whilst at the same time pursuing her own feelings for him.
Like Lala and Nana, Momo also possesses physical abilities far superior to those of an ordinary human, as well as a tail characteristic of the inhabitants of Deviluke.
One of her most remarkable traits is her connection with plants. Momo is able to communicate with them and possesses an impressive knowledge of plant species, including extraterrestrial ones.
This affinity gives the character a very different dimension to that of her sisters and regularly allows plants with properties as strange as they are unpredictable to be introduced into the story.
Momo therefore plays a particularly important role in To LOVE-Ru Darkness: she is the Princess of Deviluke, the sister of Lala and Nana, the strategist behind the famous Harem Plan, and a character capable of discreetly influencing many of the relationships surrounding Rito.
