This officially licensed Nintendo mug is dedicated to the world of The Legend of Zelda. Manufactured by Paladone, it has a capacity of 350 ml and is made from stoneware. Its glossy dark green finish is enhanced by gold motifs depicting two of the saga’s most recognisable symbols: the Triforce and the coat of arms of the royal family of Hyrule.
The design features on both sides of the mug. One side displays a large golden Triforce, comprising the three distinctive triangles arranged around a central space. The other is decorated with the coat of arms of Hyrule, with the Triforce towering over a large bird with outstretched wings. A thin gold border also runs along the top of the mug, contrasting with the deep green ceramic.
Its relatively straight shape and wide handle make it a mug well-suited to everyday drinks, whether coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Its 350 ml capacity offers a comfortable medium size, whilst its design also allows it to be incorporated into a collection of Zelda merchandise.
The combination of green and gold directly references the visual identity traditionally associated with Link, the Triforce and the Kingdom of Hyrule. The glossy finish of the ceramic and the large gold emblems give the mug a more understated look than mugs featuring character illustrations.

Origin and lore of the franchise
The Triforce is one of the fundamental elements of the mythology of The Legend of Zelda. Comprising three golden triangles, it is traditionally associated with the three great virtues of Strength, Wisdom and Courage. It appears in various forms throughout the history of Hyrule and remains closely linked to Link, Zelda and Ganondorf.
The second emblem depicted on the mug is the coat of arms of the royal family of Hyrule. Nintendo depicts it with the Triforce placed above a crimson Skybird, a bird directly linked to the ancient origins of the Hylians and to the era depicted in *Skyward Sword*. This symbol has thus become one of the principal emblems of the kingdom and its royal family.
The bird motif has its origins in the symbol associated with the goddess Hylia and the inhabitants of Skyloft, whose large birds, known as Skyloft Birds, play a central role in *Skyward Sword*. Over time, this iconography has been combined with the three triangles of the Triforce to form the royal coat of arms of Hyrule.
By combining the Triforce on one side and the coat of arms of Hyrule on the other, this Paladone mug brings together two complementary symbols from the saga: the sacred artefact at the heart of many legends and the emblem representing the kingdom that Link is regularly called upon to protect.
