Banpresto / Bandai Spirits has released a large Mimitchi soft toy from the Tamagotchi universe, specifically from the Corner Shop collection. This version depicts the character in an adorable green work outfit, complete with a matching little beret, whilst retaining his long blue ears, rounded white body and characteristic pink cheeks.
The soft toy is in the ‘Super Big Plush’ format, designed both for display and as a cuddly toy. Its face and key details are created using embroidery and fabric elements, whilst the green outfit directly echoes the aesthetic of the shops featured in the Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series.
The soft toy is made from a soft fabric; Asian distribution data indicates it is made from polyester.
Mimitchi is one of Tamagotchi’s long-standing characters. The official website describes her as a gentle Tamagotchi who likes to do things her own way. She particularly enjoys maths exercises, has beautiful handwriting, works diligently and doesn’t take defeat very well.
More specifically, this soft toy refers to the Corner Shop universe. The Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop series, which originally appeared on the Nintendo DS in 2005, centres on managing small shops where players look after various Tamagotchi and carry out tasks for their customers. Its legacy was revived in 2025 with *Tamagotchi Plaza*, officially presented by Bandai Namco as the latest instalment in the series, in which players manage and develop a dozen shops in Tamahiko Town.
The promotional artwork for this soft toy faithfully captures the Japanese aesthetic of *Tamagotchi no Puchi Puchi Omisetchi: Omachidousama!*, the Japanese title for *Tamagotchi Plaza*. Mimitchi’s green outfit and beret thus reflect his integration into this world of shops and shopkeepers, whilst retaining his instantly recognisable appearance.
