Origin and world of the character (Lore)
Introduced in the second season of the Duffer brothers' hit series, Maxime "Max" Mayfield is a naturally rebellious teenager with a passion for skateboarding and arcade games. The "Tales from '85" collection focuses on the summer of 1985, corresponding to the events of the third season. This was a turning point for Max, who developed a deep friendship with Eleven, introducing her to the simple pleasures of normal teenage life, shopping sprees at the brand new Starcourt shopping centre and independence from boys. Her self-confidence and logical mind prove invaluable when the group must once again face the dangers of the Upside Down World.
