STAR WARS 6 - Tessek - Figure Black Series 15cm

This Hasbro action figure depicts Tessek, a character featured in *Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi*. Part of the Star Wars The Black Series collection, it measures 6 inches (approximately 15 cm), featuring a design inspired by the film, photorealistic detailing and premium articulation, making it ideal for collecting and display.

Tessek is instantly recognisable by his Quarren appearance, with his orange-brown head, large blue eyes and the four long tentacles extending from his jaw. The Quarren people originate from Mon Cala and are distinguished precisely by this cephalopod-like morphology. The figure also faithfully reproduces the various textures of the face and the characteristic contours of this species.

The character wears a long, light-coloured tunic covered by an imposing piece of bronze armour decorated with circular patterns. Blue-grey arm guards encircle his forearms, whilst a long, dark fabric cloak falls from his shoulders. The use of fabric for the tunic and cloak adds volume to the silhouette whilst allowing the figure’s joints to remain accessible.

Character background and universe (Lore)

Tessek is a Quarren who frequents Jabba the Hutt’s court on Tatooine during the era of Return of the Jedi. The Quarren are a species native to the ocean-world Mon Cala, which they share with the Mon Calamari. Their physical features are characterised in particular by four facial tentacles, turquoise eyes and hands adapted to their aquatic environment.

At Jabba’s palace, Tessek serves as accountant to the powerful crime lord. Behind this seemingly loyal façade, he secretly embezzles part of his employer’s funds – a detail directly referenced in Hasbro’s official description of this figurine.

Jabba’s palace was, at the time, one of the main hubs of Tatooine’s criminal underworld. Smugglers, bounty hunters and other individuals who have come to do business with the Hutt rub shoulders there under the authority of a master renowned for his lack of mercy. It is in this setting that Tessek appears amongst the many members and visitors to the gangster’s court in *Return of the Jedi*.

This Black Series figure thus pays tribute to a particularly recognisable supporting character from the Jabba’s Palace sequence, whilst enriching the collection of creatures and courtiers surrounding the crime lord in Episode VI.
