Character origin and lore
In the Star Wars galaxy, Taun We is a Kaminoan from the ocean planet of Kamino, where she serves as chief administrative assistant to Prime Minister Lama Su. Renowned for her apparent gentleness, soothing voice and natural elegance, she welcomes Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi during his investigation into the mysterious poisoned dart. Guided by a commercial neutrality characteristic of her people of scientists, she naively introduces the Jedi to the formidable bounty hunter Jango Fett, who served as the genetic template for the creation of the monumental clone army secretly commissioned for the Republic. A meticulous scientist, Taun We supervises with clinical detachment the growth and conditioning of the millions of clone troopers destined to alter the balance of power in the galaxy forever. This figure immortalises a key figure behind the political and technological scenes of the saga.
