Character background and universe (Lore)

Saesee Tiin is an Iktotchi Jedi Master who served on the Jedi Council during the final years of the Galactic Republic. Recognisable by his imposing horns, he is renowned both for his mastery of the lightsaber and for his remarkable piloting skills.

In Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Saesee Tiin is among the Jedi who accompany Mace Windu to Geonosis to rescue Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker and Padmé Amidala. He takes part in the arena battle and then in the battle that marks the start of the Clone Wars.

Throughout the conflict, Tiin continued to serve the Jedi Order and the Republic as a general and an experienced pilot. At the end of the Clone Wars, he accompanied Mace Windu, Agen Kolar and Kit Fisto to arrest Chancellor Palpatine following the revelation of his identity as a Sith Lord. Saesee Tiin was killed during this confrontation with Darth Sidious.
